Another sold out event at Zouk Club KL last weekend! This March 16th, Asia’s Largest Superclub hosted Aly and Fila at Zouk Mainroom. But before the dynamic duo kicked off their set, Zouk’s Trance nation were presented by a warm-up session from familiar trance local boys, Chukiess & Whackboi and Boris Foong.
Awarded as #1 Best DJ, #1 Best Producer, #1 Best Live Set at the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt by Trance Podium Awards recently, Aly and Fila were more than pumped to show up at Kuala Lumpur. Though we missed the unique stage productions and visuals catching the elements of ancient Egypt that is synonymous with Aly and Fila. Zouk substituted this with a magnetic show of lights and LED effects that shorn a glimmer of what we’ve seen at Future Sound of Egypt.
This alone, brought about a different vibe in Zouk’s Mainroom, Zoukers were awestruck by the mix of sounds, and ambiences that made the feeling just right for the guest DJs to blow their
Malaysian guests away with a 3-hour long set.
From The Pyramids to Kuala Lumpur, Trance Nation Carries on at Zouk Mainroom
It was a full night of head-banging experience as Aly and Fila hit the stage with a few of their top tracks such as Beyond the Lights, Napoleon vs We Control the Sunlight [Mashup], Giuseppe
Ottaviani – Till the Sunrise, and more! Not only were the audiences in the rooms submerged in the melodic ins and outs of the synthesizers, but the DJs themselves were seen indulging in
their own beats throughout the night as they sang and moved to the music.
Both fans and artists put a fantastic show last Friday. And it was indeed another well supported event by Aly & Fila fans as well as trance music purists. The movement is real in KL, and more
events as such will be seen coming soon to grace the halls of Zouk’s mainroom. Lookout for Zouk’s Trance festival – Trancesylvania, and not to forget the Ultra and EDC parties that will all
take place May, which follows up back to back international DJ acts in April. It’s gonna be LIT!
