The Johnnie Walker Circuit Nights Series Launches in Kuala Lumpur

JW Circuit Night Korea

JOHNNIE WALKER® kicked off the Korean race weekend celebrations in legendary style on October 4th, 2013 with the all-new CIRCUIT NIGHTS club series at The Butter Factory KL.

Standing as one of the prime club hotspots in the heart of the city The Butter Factory KL was the perfect location for the launch night. JOHNNIE WALKER brought Korean to KL from the minute guests arrived, with an iconic Korean flag photo wall and JOHNNIE WALKER® Brand Ambassadors styled in Korean-inspired corsets.

The night was a sea of black and gold, as guests arrived dressed head to toe in keeping with the theme of the night. Flashes of K-Pop were seen around the crowds, not least on the beautiful Leng Yein, who set the bar high with her incredible display of the fun side to Korean inspired fashion.

Specially crafted JOHNNIE WALKER® cocktails were served, including the signature JOHNNIE WALKER® GOLD LABEL RESERVE® “Fresh Gold” and new and bespoke JOHNNIE WALKER® BLACK LABEL® “Circuit Night”. The new Circuit Night cocktail was designed for those with a zesty but sweet palate and proved an instant favourite. JOHNNIE WALKER® Brand Ambassador, Jeremy Lee, was also on-hand to enhance the flavourful experience with exclusive mentoring sessions for the guests.

The stunning JOHNNIE WALKER® golden girls kicked the celebrations into 5th gear with the presentation of the JOHNNIE WALKER® GOLD LABEL RESERVE™ Limited Edition bottle. Flanked by beauties in traditional Hanbok inspired costumes, the girls strode through the crowd before the aptly named ‘Celebration Blend’ took centre stage. A contemporary version of the traditional fan dance was followed by a more electric K-POP style show, getting the crowds ready to party.

On the decks for the evening was DJ Show flown in from Korea exclusively for the event. With effortless style, she brought Korea to life through her K-Pop-EDM sets while Kuala Lumpur’s local celebrities Leng Yein, Nadia Heng, Venice Min, Hansen Lee and Jeremy Teo showed their appreciation on the dance floor.

Natalie Harley, Senior Brand Manager of JOHNNIE WALKER® Malaysia commented:
“We created the Circuit Night series in order to bring the epic parties now synonymous with F1 to the club level. Five years on and our fans attending Circuit Night events never fail to impress us. Their adoration for the brand is palpable, especially when we see them partying like the elite on the night.”

The JOHNNIE WALKER® CIRCUIT NIGHTS series is a lead up to the much anticipated CIRCUIT LOUNGE scheduled for March 2014; both proud platforms of the STEP INSIDE THE CIRCUIT campaign – the result of an enduring partnership between JOHNNIE WALKER® and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes™ that provides insider access into the elite world of motorsports.
