HardKnights (MY)

Redza Ramzan and Kimi Rashid – The duo have been spinning together since the early 2012, contributing to the Electronic Dance Music industry through countless gigs and shows. Their style of Progressive House , Big room and Trance, sidelined by their own productions, edits and mashups, sparks the hype on the dance floor. What started out as a dream, turned into reality when hundreds of people turned out at their first event held at Bakita, Changkat titled TNT under an event management company Trance From Malaysia. Driven by their love for every genre of music, the duo harness their passion through Electronic Dance Music, igniting parties and events with their energetic and booming setlist.

The Producer, Redza Ramzan
He picked up electronic music production when he was just 15 years old. Inspired by the sounds of Hardwell’s track – Cobra, He instantly got a hold of FL Studio and started learning the complex art of music production. Having a solid background of music, with 8 years of guitar experience at that time, the learning curve for him was not too steep. His works has attracted the attention of DJ’s such as Victor Niglio, B.A.T.E, The Tronics, and many more. In the late 2012, his first track of 2014 titled “Antarctic” had attracted the attention of Arenas Recordings, a small time record label based in Venezuela. His other tracks, such as “Isolation” has also been signed to another small time label in Vienna, Pinfire Recordings. His “Addicted to you” Remix has been a local anthem towards HardKnights Local event – TNT, attracting attention to the underground remixers – Modern Machines. June 2014 has been a very successful month , completing his first ever 4 track EP titled “Of saints & sins” . This EP features four tracks carrying a sinful yet explosive theme, with chord progressions and melodic rhythms that will chill your bone.

Their EP titled track gained the attention and support of many local and international artists such as DeLLa from Australia and Leey Houdini from Malaysia. “Of saints & Sins” gained lots of attention and got itself signed to Pinfire Recordings and was released on 16th of June 2014 on all major internet stores , particularly the number one Electronic Dance Music community – Beatport. This track also received support from Simon Lee & Alvin, having their track played on national radio – FlyFM958, on their weekly radioshow #FlyFiveO. 2015 saw a great start for the young producer after reviving a classic rave anthem “Tune up! – Ravers Fantasy” Which once again caught the attention of Malaysian superstar DJ’s Simon Lee & Alvin, supporting their track in their weekly radio show on national radio.

The Duo
After countless events at private house parties, the duo took every opportunity they had at leveling their experience and exposure towards the Malaysian Electronic Dance Music scene. Growing their DJ technique off an ultra-portable set up made up of controllers and laptops, their skill escalated quickly after they completed their DJ course at Goldsounds Studios in mid-2012, owned by internationally recognized DJ duo – Goldfish & Blink. Their banging setlist consists of countless exclusive tracks, mashups, remixes and their very own production that ignites the club with energy, with genres ranging from Trance all the way to Trap. Their DJing technique and song selections are often influenced by big international artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Showtek,

Borgore and many more. With their challenging trials from other DJs, the duo pulled through their latest event at Drink University KL with much success, gaining the attention of Malaysian EDM lords – RojakBois. August 2014 brought many new experiences for HardKnights as bookings started to flow regularly after the holy month of Ramadan, having played at top clubs in Kuala Lumpur such as Vertigo (Gardens) and LUST (Changkat). After a booming private house party in Kelana Jaya, HardKnights attracted the attention of Top international Malaysian DJ duo, BATE, with an invitation to play their music at LUST Club KL on most Wednesdays a part of their BATE x KARTEL HITMEN event line up. 6th of August 2014, where they first set foot in LUST, garnered so much attention as they managed to fill the club on a weeknight. From there onwards they were booked and secured for “EDM FIGHTER” hosted by their acquaintance “ERULTRONIC”, which saw approximately 350 attendees in the underground club “Platinum21 @ Icon Tower” in Kuala Lumpur. After their success at Platinum21, HardKnights has managed to put themselves on the map among upcoming DJ’s in Malaysia.
