Often described as a rising star in the local dance scene, Victor Trixter is known for his unmistakable charisma which fires up the room whether he is working behind the decks or rousing the crowd with his versatile approach to music.
At only 23, he has already shared deck duties at dance festivals with heavyweights like Angger Dimas, Jesse Voorn, and Paul Harris (aka Dirty Vegas), and played alongside some of the industry’s most respected DJs, both local and international, like Joey G (MY), Nicky C (MY), DJ Gabriel (MY), Mr Nasty & GuruGuru (MY), Mr Fluff (MY), and Smile on Impact (OZ), among others.
Clinching the 1st Runner Up title at 2009’s Pioneer Pro DJ Battle earned him a breakthrough status at just 18 years old and he has since gone on to earn his stripes by playing varied gigs in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Borneo and Melbourne, with regular appearance at the Merdeka Party in Fusion & Co, Crown Casino, since 2011. He also had an outstanding run as the youngest crew of Turn It Up Fridays, helmed by Joey G and Mr Fluff at Rootz KL in 2010.
His natural ability to perform across genres continues to underline his trademark sound, with groovy percussions and soul lacing the soundscapes, having been immersed in breakbeat and drum and bass in the early days. Whether it is mainstream or underground, Victor is known for throwing down beats without prejudice and you can be sure he is ever ready to fuse provocative bootlegs, tech house and and funky house tunes all in one incredibly good time on the dancefloor.
Victor recently ended his residence at Sultan Lounge in September this year after a notable three-year stint but he can be spotted regularly at his Lushouse residency in twenty.one tables + terrace, Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC), on Fridays. When he is not busy decking the party rocking halls, Victor trains students and devotes himself to studio time with solo projects and collaborations under his production moniker, TRXTR. With sights on the top league of the game, expect this young lad to continue broadening the spectrum of the dance scene with his drive and boundless energy.
