Rosie Romero

Rosie has established herself as a leading member of a Nu-Breed of artists, creating waves from her Manchester base in both her DJ and production guises. Honing her trade as a DJ at the legendary ‘Sankeys’ Rosie now plys her DJ trade throughout the UK and with increasing regularity taking her sound to the international marketplace; and playing in over 15 countries, India, Dubai, Ibiza, Italy, Russia, Egypt, Slovakia, Siberia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland and Majorca to name a few of the many.

The natural progression from Rosie’s DJ success took her from the booth to the studio, receiving positive support from the likes of Dave Seaman, Nic Fancuilli, Jim Rivers, Richard Dinsdale, Kim Fai on Rosie’s Controlled Extrovert EP – Omnis Recordings

Rosie’s passion for making music has been present from a young age. Her first love of classical composition saw her develop her piano playing skills, making Grade 6 by the time she hit high school. Rosie has collaborated with Hauswerks and has releases on 303 Lovers and the remix she did for Zoo Brazil was highly acclaimed and released on Tiesto’s label. This has only benefited her being a recording artist with leading labels Omnis Recordings, Manchester Underground Music and the heavily supported Mad Hatter Recordings has ensured a wider reach and audience for the new material. The success of the original tracks ensured a demand for remix requests with Zoo Brazil, Paul Thomas, Kevin Andrews (Hoxton W****s) being the first artists to receive the Romero touch.

A natural born entertainer, Rosie’s sound can be described as Grooving Jackin’ Techno, with elements of Progressive and Tech House infused enabling ‘The Romero Sound’ to encompass a new market, constantly gaining new fans and ensuring she is relevant to a plethora of UK’s main clubbing institutes including Air, Pacha,, Pukka Up, Ministry of Sound, Honey Club, Area 51, In Bed With Space, Gatecrasher, Miss Moneypennys and Sankeys.

Rosie has been labelled as ‘one to watch’ by Tillate magazine and StreetMag (Norway) for 2010.

Her weekly radio show on Cheshire 92.5FM defines Rosie’s ability to project an upfront sound to a commercial audience, showcasing her ability to entertain a multiplicity of audiences. The show is franchised across several countries across Europe.

The studio/DJ diaries are solid heading into 2010,with a tour of Asia and a release of her remix for Zoo Brazil out on Tiesto’s label in February. It’s looking like the rapid progression of Rosie name and talent will continue to burn bright and reach a wider audience
