Yesterday, Soho-based electronica duo Lisbon Kid (comprised of Danny De Matos and Rui Da Silva) premiered the first single from their debut album with Ministry of Sound.
Speaking about the single, ‘Sunburst’, Ministry of Sound said, “The track is a sun-kissed ambient groover that calls to mind endless Algarve beaches, sparkling water and coast side drives. Reminiscent of Air, Royskopp and early Groove Armada, this one is a blissful ode to package holidays, continental beers and that instant smack of warm air you get when you walk out of a foreign airport.”
The single is the first track to be shared from Lisbon Kid’s forthcoming self-titled debut album which is due out on 22nd April 2016 via the eclectic Wall of Sound label (home to the likes of Royksopp, The Human League, Aeroplane, Propellerheads, Les Rythmes Digitales, The Bees and more.)
Alternative versions of the ‘Sunburst’ have also already been picked by compliations such as Café Del Mar, Golden Lounge and Balearic prior to its release of the original mix as the debut single.
