Afrojack and Martin Garrix are bringing the party to Rotterdam on 6 November for the 2016 MTV EMAs. Dance music icon Afrojack returns as a performer in his native Netherlands, and this will be the third EMAs performance for the 2012 “Best Dutch Act” EMA winner. Up this year for the “Best Electronic” honour, Afrojack has lent his production skills to tracks like David Guetta’s no. 1 smash “Titanium (feat. Sia)” and co-created major hits for such artists as Beyoncé, Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Nicki Minaj. The World’s No. 1 DJ Martin Garrix will return to his Dutch roots to light up the stage. Joining the party are celebrity presenters from around the world, including actresses and stars of the forthcoming action blockbuster xXx: Return of Xander Cage Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone; global supermodel Jourdan Dunn; Canadian activist and catwalker Winnie Harlow; and rapper, actor and current star of Netflix’s The Get Down Jaden Smith.
“I’m really looking forward to taking the stage at this year’s EMAs, as they’re taking place in my home land,” said Afrojack. “I’ve worked up something special just for this night, and am excited for the fans to see.”
“I’m so pleased to be returning to the MTV EMAs, one of my favorite parties of the year, for a night of music and magic in my home country,” said Martin Garrix.
