2nd November 2009 LAUNDRY, Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya’s favourite indie music bar; located in Mutiara Damansara is hosting a three day charity musical affair called the “GREEN DAY OUT” , by recreating a ‘beach’ atmosphere right here at the Curve. The event commences from the 19th November to the 21st Saturday from 7pm onwards.With exciting, star studded performances lined up for fans and music aficionados; this musical affair will begin on a Thursday with Moonshine, singer songwriters Reza Salleh, Isaac Entry, Najwa, Stoned Revivals followed by percussionists’ Layan Sound System; jazz and soulful Tokyo Blues, and DJ Tyson Ballard from London on the 20th, concluding on Saturday with featured 2009 Rainforest Festival Musicians; the one and only Akasha.The GREEN DAY OUT event is in support of Wild Asia.org’s effort, in promoting environmental awareness to the public; partnering with Laundry to draw on music as a conduit to reinforce the importance of conservation. There will be no cover charge, Laundry has pledged 10% of sales of Heineken bottles sold to support Wild Asia’s Plant-A-Tree Programme, and music is free.
