Resorts World Genting Plans Spectacular Celebrations To Ring in 2019

Resorts World Genting New Year's Eve 2019

Party-goers will be treated to an amazing pyrotechnics and fireworks show, as Zouk Genting offers a sneak peak with a New Year’s Eve Party

Genting Highlands, 26th December 2018 – It isn’t too long now before the world gets together to count down to New Year. From New Zealand to London and Hawaii, celebrations to usher in 2019 in the most spectacular way possible are underway. And they don’t come any more spectacular than spending New Year’s Eve 6,000 feet above sea level in the ever-cool, ever-exciting setting of Resorts World Genting. Ditch the usual humdrum spots downtown to say farewell to 2018 and hello to 2019 during an unforgettable escape.

For this New Year’s Eve, Resorts World Genting has planned its most remarkable show yet – a 7-minute show featuring massive fireworks followed by astonishing pyrotechnic displays continued by a synchronised display. The countdown will begin at 11.59pm on 31 December 2018, bringing together guests and visitors in a rousing countdown to a show that will be visible from miles around. Whether it is gazing through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Park Avenue Lounge in SkyAvenue with a glass of Champagne or mingling with revelers in designated public areas across the resort, the gathering will be one of celebration, peace, unity and hope for the wonderful year ahead.

RWG 2019 UPDATE: Resorts World Genting welcomes 2019 with its’ most remarkable show yet

The view will be especially sophisticated from the vantage point of Park Avenue Lounge, especially with the special canape & wine package featuring smoked salmon crostini, Christstollen roast chicken and honey glazed duck. Guests arriving early to the proceedings can also tuck into a special high tea set on New Year’s Eve and be serenaded with a live band as the clock ticks down to midnight and promised fireworks. Families with children and Pokémon fans won’t be left out either, as Resorts World Genting hosts a very special New Year Countdown on the SkySymphony stage featuring lovable characters as part of the ongoing Genting Pokémon Festival with an all-dancing troupe of Pikachu bringing in the New Year with a bang!

The fireworks may be the highlight, but Resorts World Genting has plenty of options for those that want to party all day leading up to the New Year and party all day after. Save the date, for 31 December 2018 is also an exclusive sneak peek to Zouk Genting where true clubbers should not miss out on the first to check out this hotspot. And what a party it has planned for revelers, in a sprawling space that includes the 8,000 square foot Zouk and 5,000 square foot Empire by Zouk clubbing spaces. Adjacent to the clubs are the energetic gaming bar RedTail by Zouk and RedTail Karaoke: the coolest karaoke spot in town with a state-of-the-art system to boot. A very special night awaits at the New Year Party at Zouk, with DJ Che’molly from Zouk Singapore hosting an evening of music and merriment. For an entrance fee of RM50 (including one drink), party-goers will have access to the most unforgettable New Year’s Eve experience.

Elsewhere in the resort, there are plenty of other ways to let loose and party hard. On the lower lobby floor of Genting Grand, Cloud 9 has a grand White & Blue New Year Countdown Party planned for 31 December 2018. Countdown to midnight with live music from bands Band of Brothers and Overseez while sipping on special concoctions. But if altitude is preferred, then guests can opt to head on up to the High Line at SkyAvenue mall, where live band NRG, house DJs and limber dancers will be spinning nightly until 2am, inviting guests to dine, drink and dance the night away.

Guests can wake up in the new year at one of the seven hotels at Resorts World Genting including Crockfords Hotel, Genting Grand Hotel, Maxims Hotel, Resorts Hotel, Theme Park Hotel, Awana Hotel or First World Hotel. The premiere entertainment and leisure resort also includes an indoor theme park and entertainment attractions, dining and retail outlets, international shows and business convention facilities.
