Swedish House Mafia One Last Tour in Malaysia

Swedish House Mafia will be landing in Malaysia for One Last Tour on 18th January 2013. The trio electronic music masters, Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso are ready to take their fans in Malaysia to the next level. It’s time to party like never before with the trio, this will be their one last tour, as they decided to go on their separate ways.

Swedish House Mafia “One Last Tour.” will commence in November 2012 and one of the venues selected on this ONE LAST TOUR is Kuala Lumpur on 18th January 2013 at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon.

Together the Swedes — Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso— joined their prolific individual talents into one of dance music’s most commercially successful and intriguing brands, leading the charge of Electronic Dance Music’s American takeover. With five widely successful singles in two years, SHM dominated the traditional music.

Steve Angello of the trio told fans the reason behind their forthcoming retirement, saying that they decided to call it a day because they didn’t know what their ‘next move’ would be.

He said: “We just decided that we reached a point where we don’t know what the next move would be. We always like the challenge. And we don’t like to repeat ourselves. We just felt like it was time.”He denied that a rift in the act was the reason behind the split, saying: “We’re like brothers. We’re still here. It’s not like anybody has died. We’ve had beyond our dreams and we’ve come very, very far. We just felt like, ‘Let’s stop touring.'”

The name “Swedish House Hegarty” was adopted initially, but the group then resorted to their current name after it first appeared on forums and was used to encapsulate the group of producers that were working together in the future. Steve Angello stated, “But we’ve been through everything together. I can always lean on one of their shoulders and they can lean on mine. I can always trust their opinions. When I have a track, they tell me straight away what they think. With Swedish House Mafia, you’re with friends.”

The first production that was released by Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso was “Get Dumb”. It was produced with Laidback Luke and released in 2007.

In 2010 the Swedish House Mafia signed a record deal with UMG’s Polydor Records (formerly Polygram). They released their first official single, “One (Your Name)”, under the name Swedish House Mafia on Beatport on 26 May 2010, where it achieved international success, charting at #7 in the UK Singles Chart. The next single, “Miami 2 Ibiza”, featuring TinieTempah, charted at #4 in the UK Chart in September 2010. Both singles were taken from the “Until One” album; a collection of productions and remixes from both Swedish House Mafia and as the group as individuals. It has achieved a BPI Gold Sales award in the United Kingdom.

In 2010, Swedish House Mafia won the “Best Swedish Act” award at the MTV European Ballz awards 2010.
