Phuket Province is an island province located in the southwestern part of Thailand on the Andaman Sea. Aside from the many beautiful beaches scattered across the island, Phuket also has a lot of cultural and historical attractions. Owing to its long and rich history as a trading post and lasting Chinese and European influence, numerous temples and classical buildings can be found in Phuket. Phuket is served by an international airport.
The Phi Phi Islands are just a 2-hour ferry ride from Phuket, even faster by speedboat. The island gained international attention when it was featured as the location of the 2000 film The Beach. Since then, the island has attracted increasing numbers of tourists. In 2018, one of Phi Phi’s most popular beaches was closed to tourists to let the natural environment recover.
Koh Samui is an island on the eastern coast of Thailand within the Gulf of Thailand. Resorts, bungalows and villas abound along the island’s beautiful beaches. Besides sand and sea, there are also several wats and temples to visit on the island. The island has an airport with connecting flights to mainland Thailand, and nearby Singapore and Malaysia.
Pattaya is a resort city on the eastern coast of Thailand. It is only less than 2 hours by land from Bangkok. Air travel is primarily from the airport in Bangkok. Indonesia

The relatively small island used to receive close to 2 million tourists until the national government shut it down for 6 months in 2018 to curb unbridled development, which seriously threatened the island’s natural environment. Since then, the government has imposed limits on the number of visitors.
Palawan is a province in the southwestern part of the Philippines and relatively separated from the rest of the archipelago. It is approximately 425 kilometres long from its northern to the southern tip. Its tourist spots are mostly in the northern and central part of the island. There are three airports in Palawan, one of which is an international airport.
