TREC KL Launches RM1.5 Million Campaign

TREC Electric Boulevard KL

TREC, Kuala Lumpur’s first-purpose built and trendiest F&B and entertainment hangout, is launching one of its biggest campaigns of 2016, as the 7-acre enclave anticipates the coming of Phase 2 with new F&B openings from May, following the launch of Electric Boulevard in December 2015.

The RM1.5-million, 3-month campaign [March to May] aims to provide locals and tourists a multifarious series of offerings. More than just clubbing, the programme include food & drink, new events, and gigs / shows, at affordable prices. TREC is expected to see a 25 per cent spike in weekly visitorship from March to May, with the launch of its campaign – a concerted effort by TREC and its F&B brands, the first of its kind for a F&B precinct in KL. The estate draws over 15,000 visitors a week.

The campaign raises the curtain with the media launch of restaurant-lounge-club Supperclub at Electric Boulevard on March 22, and the return of TREC’s signature programme, A Sunday Affair, in two weeks’ time on March 27.

This time, the city’s only music-centric flea market, curated by local artistes Blink and Xu, will celebrate an eclectic lineup of Malaysian indie musicians on one stage. This second edition is expected to draw more than 2,000 visitors to TREC.

Today, TREC’s series of programmes kick off at Electric Boulevard, with a concerted Happy Hour from the F&B brands [nearly 20 venues] at Electric Boulevard till May 27, offering a diverse choice of over 100 F&B deals from 5pm to 10pm. Plus, TREC is rewarding Happy Hour-goers with instant wins and monthly lucky draw with prizes worth more than RM200,000 in the next three months.

TREC is also sweetening the deal, tying up with Uber during this period [5pm-10pm / Mondays–Fridays / March 17-May 31] for a one-way ride worth RM30 [up to 10 times usage per person] to TREC using the promo code “BHHTREC”. For those who drive, they enjoy a two-hour free parking at TREC’s basement carpark.

More Lifestyle Events by TREC

To whet your appetite of what is to come, TREC is organising a series of programmes at The Quad – an outdoor event space located between Zouk KL and Electric Boulevard. Besides A Sunday Affair, a new arts-meet-music Sunday flea market, ThisCover Weekend, will take centrestage on April 10. Musicians will perform their rendition of cover hits.

The event is a collaboration between TREC and music collective Indiego & Co, who are ThisCover Weekend’s curators. The Quad will also be transformed into a lively Beer Garden with fringe activities and live performances, from Mondays to Fridays next month. Details on The Quad, ThisCover Weekend and Beer Garden will be announced soon.

New Carpark at TREC To Open Ahead

A new five-storey carpark with 500 bays will be completed soon. Route to this carpark is via Jalan Kampung Pandan and this third ingress aims to ease traffic. This is in addition to two existing road entries to TREC from Jalan Tun Razak.

The multi-level carpark [with 2-hour free parking] will add to a total of over 1,000 bays at TREC. There are now 300 parking bays at the basement carpark and over 100 bays within TREC.

TREC continues to collaborate with Grab mobile app service that provides metered trips to/from TREC at the designated metered taxi stand.

Another shuttle service is added to a total of two on Fridays and Saturdays to bring visitors to/from ParkSafe [across the road from TREC], from 11pm to 5am with a 20-min interval.
