TREC KL Gears Up For A Big Weekend

TREC KL Sunday Flea Market 2016

TREC KL is gearing up for an extended weekend, from this Thursday to Sunday. The four-day, non-stop entertainment will begin at COMO with underground Berlin DJ and music producer, Wankelnut, helming the decks, followed by Friday’s weekend gigs at TREC’s venues, to dance auditions at Live House on Saturday, and finally, A Sunday Affair [ASA] flea market will be held alongside The Judgment Day x Malaysia Got Hip Hop [MGHH], on Sunday.

To commemorate the completion of Phase 2, Sunday’s events will be held in four areas on May 29 for the first time at – The Quad and Electric Boulevard that will see ASA’s music stage and retail bazaar, respectively.

Over at TREC’s Phase 2, The Hive and Rhapsody Square will have an extended bazaar and dance performances and auditions by The Judgment Day x MGHH, which is KL’s largest dance competition.

ASA GOES URBAN
ASA, which is into its 4th edition, will take on an urban music edition. The line-up of artistes include some of the city’s best urban / hip hop crew – SonaOne; Naufal & I-Sky; Emir Hermono x Fliko; FRS; and Afara; Nazkimo, joined by LapSap [Xu and Blink], who are ASA’s curators.

LE NOIR’S OPENING
May 29 will also see Singapore entertainment brand, Le Noir, is opening on this day. Find out more details on Le Noir Malaysia.

THE JUDGMENT DAY + MALAYSIA GOT HIP HOP
Visitors can expect international judges at The Judgment Day x MGHH, which is affiliated to Bboyworld, the largest breakdance / hip hop portal in the world. On May 28, Live House at TREC will host The Judgment Day x MGHH’s Bboy battle, pop/locking, beatbox battles, from 1pm to 6.30pm. This will be followed by MGHH After Party at Live House from 8pm till midnight.

On May 29, the battle continues, including a 5 vs 5 style audition from 2pm to 3pm at Live House and LOL comedy club, before the event moves on to Rhapsody Square from 3.30pm to 9pm. But the night won’t be over just yet.

ASA’s music programme will pick up in tempo till midnight at The Quad. TREC is expecting at least 4,000 fun seekers to the two-day event.
