Zulu Records launch the BeatBakery in Kuala Lumpur

Beatbakery Zulu Records

Armed with a fresh new look and a total re-brand which marks five years of Zulu Records and releases from the likes of Doorly, Marc Vedo and Luca Debonaire, the team behind the underground-favourite label have now set their sights on a ground-breaking new venture in the world of production tutorials with the launch of their BeatBakery.

Now taking bookings for their first courses in May, June and July at Bad Hatter Studios in Kuala Lumpur, the course will be led by label bosses MDE and take students of all levels through the essential skills they’ll need to produce their own dance floor hits in an intimate, one-to-one studio environment with the potential to release them on Zulu Records.

MDE PressOpening the door to producers of every level, from beginners to those who have experience but might want to hone a specific aspect of their technique, the course aims to help producers take their skills to the next level in pursuit of that big break. Speaking about the course, label bosses MDE said:

“We have launched Zulu Records’ BeatBakery to help budding producers and DJs get the fundamental skills to start releasing their own tracks, and also for us as label to find fresh new talent.

There are a lot of online courses out there but none that seem to offer an interactive experience with a personal touch. We are really pleased to have Kuala Lumpur as the first location for our course as it’s a growing hotspot for electronic music.

We can’t wait to discover new talent for the label to grow the Zulu records family even further!”

Zulu Records celebrate 5 years with the launch of their ‘BeatBakery’

Covering a range of aspects in the production process, from initial hooks and idea generation, right through to mixing, mastering and promotion, the course aims to be a one-stop-shop for anyone who wants to make their mark in the dance music industry.

Led by MDE who have had a successful professional music career spanning over 15 years and over 200 releases on labels like Insomniac, Spinnin, Sony RCA, Toolroom and Ministry Of Sound, the emphasis of the course is on ensuring that every aspect is tailored to the individual. Working in a way that suits users of any DAW, the course will ensure that students leave with the essential skills, understanding and creativity when developing future productions.

The course is now open and taking bookings for the first sessions in Kuala Lumpur, with further dates to be added in Bangkok and Shanghai in the near future.
