Review: The New Jurassic World After 14 Years Waiting

Jurassic World

The 4th Jurassic Park trilogy movie brings a whole new world with technology and science. When the original theme score played at starting of Jurassic World, it does brings back memories of the first Jurassic Park. I’m a big fan of the original 1993 Jurassic Park and its trilogy, The Lost World & Jurassic Park 3, and have been watching more than a dozen times since the first film released on videotape, VCD and now on Blu-ray.

Jurassic World is a box office film, whole new thing to me, with its new dinosaurs, the Dimorphodons, Baryonx, Suchominus, Mosasaurus and more. New dinosaur species are introduced in Jurassic World such as and the genetically modified and born through test tube creates it into one of its kind dinosaur, the bigger & fiercer Indominus Rex with sharp teeth & giant claws, well, rather a monster than a dinosaur, I guess.

I’m actually mistaken Apatosaurus as Brachiosaurus and wonder why the size shrank so much! Oops, my bad. But where are the Brachiosaurus in Jurassic World? It might be too large to fit in the island? I guess.

Jurassic World gives a the feeling of entering a modern theme park, from training a group of Velociraptor, petting zoo, riding Gyrosphere attraction (They actually called it hamster ball) and Mosasaurus feeding are all new to the younger generation and also older generation like me.

Indominus Rex
The sound effects are great, rumbling dinosaur footsteps and extremely loud Indominus’s roar makes you stick tight to your seat from start till end of the movie.

One thing I have never experienced in this film are the dino footsteps failed to shake my seat, although there is D-Box feature of Jurassic World. I remember how my seat shakes in Jurassic Park whenever the T-Rex stomps on the ground. Well, nothing much to complain about, since there’s D-Box to please you in case you need to experience it.

Also, there is a rare scene where the Raptors runs side-by-side with Velociraptor trainer, Owen to hunt down Indominus. That’s something different.

Chris Pratt Jurassic World
I’m total glad to see new casts in this movie, Chris Pratt (Owen), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire), Ty Simpkins as Gray Mitchell, Nick Robinson as Zach Mitchell, Irrfan Khan (Siman Masrani, the park owner) and the scientist from the first film, B.D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, who is now a villain in the film.

The most epic moment that really impressed me is during the ending where Claire holds the flare and when the gate opens, the T-Rex walked out of its cage. Plus, when the T-Rex about to lose its fight with the Indominus, the Raptor comes along and fight side-by-side with the T-Rex. It’s something cool to watch in movies.

Conclusion, nothing to complain about because i do love watch Jurassic Park movies!
