Ruben de Ronde Interview – TWELVE 13 Exclusive

A TWELVE 13 Exclusive interview and close with Ruben de Ronde from The Netherlands. Ruben de Ronde, an Armada Music artist talking about favourite tracks, foods and personal stuff.

Hi Ruben de Ronde. Did you try Malaysian food yet?
No.

Are you looking forward to trying Malaysian food?
Maybe… oh wait! I had food on the plane because I’m travelling with Malaysian Airlines. It looks like meat but I’m not sure what it was. It tastes pretty good actually.

What goes through your mind for TWELVE 13?
I really don’t have any picture how it is going to be but I have a feeling that it is going to be great. I have a lot of tweets and facebook messages from the people who’ll be coming, so I think it’s going to be big.

Any new tracks you’ll be testing tomorrow in your set?
Yes. I just finished the tracks two days ago.

Which one do you like better? Producing or DJ-ing?
Wow… this is like the ultimate question. Making a track and then playing it in front of the crowd… I don’t know. Hmm… DJ-ing.

What other DJs set you has seen recently? And which one is your favourite?
I think from this year I like best from Eric Prydz. I’m not really an uplifting guy but, I’ve played in Ireland. The event of John O’Callaghan and he played fantastic set. He blew me away and a couple of set from Armin van Buuren in the A State of Trance this year is pretty good.

What countries do you dream of performing?
Maybe more in Asia. India but I’m going to go there in February.

Is Malaysia the first Asian country you’ll be performing?
Yeah…

How do you like Malaysia so far?
Like Wezz’s said, it is very green. It’s warm a lot of rain. I still have a little bit of jetlag right now but I think it is amazing. The people are so nice and kind.

Who is your DJ heroes?
Eric Prydz

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I don’t know. I hope I’m still going to be alive. The world is still going to be there because I was thinking on the 21st the world will come to an end but that didn’t happen. I don’t know yet. I just want to keep on doing what I’m doing. Having a bigger role in A State of Trance, things with Armin right now. It’s going to be great.

Any collaboration for 2013?
The new one with Tenishia. Our fourth. A new one with Aelyn. One with Flashtech and few other names.
